“My daughter loved going to school to learn with Maura. She was able to communicate more at home with her ACC device but most importantly for me is Maura was the advocate for my daughter in my absence. It felt extremely comfortable and provided a relief I wasn’t expecting to know Maura cares for your child as you do and sometimes better!” - Parent

“She helped me evaluate where in my practice I need to shift to become a more inclusive and holistic educator. She also included a ton of resources I could include in my lessons or small group targeted instruction. She also helped me learn about my biases and where I need to change- because even as a special education teacher, I still have biases within the community I serve.” - Colleague
“I don’t know if there is enough space to express truly the amount of relief my daughter and experienced working with Maura. Having someone understand your challenges, meet you where you are, encourage your entire family and provide resources that actually benefit your family is an understatement. My daughter has had an extensive medical journey. She is non verbal but her personality is big enough that words themselves aren’t enough to fully grasp who she is. Maura saw my daughter, her talents, her skills, her energy and her love and with all of that she also saw and heard our needs. Maura is proactive and she doesn’t quit!” - Parent

“Maura helped me realize different ways we can be supporting students in which sparked my passion for teaching again. She was dedicated and a true advocate for students rights and an advocate for their families. She has brought fresh ideas to old practices that truly changed my practice long term. She speaks to and of students with a strengths-based approach to support students in the classroom which is not the norm in the field. She helps parents feel more comfortable and knowledgeable with the tedious and, sometimes scary, process of special education qualification in school.” - Colleague
